I spent yesterday and part of today on my sister’s farm. We wrangled chickens and goats, but we let my niece take care of the horse. He’s hers anyway, but I fed him a few animal crackers because he’s such a big baby. We watched a preseason baseball game (my sister and I, not the horse), and I took a quick snooze on the back porch. And yesterday evening, my nephew fired up the burn pit and we listened to music and watched the fire and talked. What a wonderful, relaxing time. But I didn’t get any good ideas for my next book. On the other hand, after such a wonderful time in the country – who cares? Thanks, sis! And niece and nephew!!
